Guiding La Salle with Mission, Stewardship and Vision
La Salle High School is supported by a Board of Limited Jurisdiction that provides governance, oversight and strategic guidance in service to the school’s Catholic, Lasallian mission. Working in partnership with the President and school leadership, the Board helps ensure that La Salle remains mission-centered, financially responsible and focused on the long-term strength of the school. Board members serve as ambassadors for La Salle, helping advance the school’s vision, strengthen community relationships and support the formation of young men in mind, body and spirit.
BOARD MEMBERS
Doug Michel ’82
Board Chair
Doug Michel ’82 is a La Salle graduate and practicing CPA with more than 30 years of experience. He is also a graduate of Miami University. In addition to serving clients professionally, Doug has served as a board member for nonprofit and for-profit organizations and as a trustee for an educational foundation. Doug and his wife, Robyn, have two children, Drew ’12 and Haley, whose husband Michael is a La Salle graduate from the Class of 2015.
Nick Bachus ’08
Board Member
Nick Bachus ’08 is a La Salle graduate and CEO of Merchandise Inc. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Nick brings experience in finance, wholesale distribution and business leadership. La Salle has shaped multiple generations of the Bachus family, including Nick, his father Mike ’82 and his brother Eric ’13. Nick and his wife, Holly, have three children and are members of the St. Ignatius community.
Matt Birck ’95
Board Member
Matt Birck ’95 is a La Salle graduate and former active-duty Army officer. He currently serves the Office of Environmental Management at the U.S. Department of Energy. Matt brings leadership, coaching and mentoring experience to his board service. He and his wife, Tamara, are the parents of two sons who attend La Salle and are active volunteers in the school community.
Kisha Dosa
Board Member
Kisha Dosa is a paralegal at Bruns, Connell, Vollmar & Armstrong, where her work includes case development, investigation, discovery review and legal document analysis. She has more than 21 years of experience in the legal field. Kisha has also served on Mt. Healthy City Council since 2016. She is a graduate of Miami University and earned paralegal certification from the College of Mount St. Joseph University, along with Ohio State Bar Association Paralegal Certification. She is the parent of a La Salle graduate from the Class of 2023.
Kent Halaby ’97
Board Member
Kent Halaby ’97 serves in the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as Director of School Finance. A west side Cincinnati native and La Salle graduate, Kent brings deep experience in Catholic education and school operations. After college, Kent returned to La Salle as Director of Bands for six years. He later served at St. Ursula Villa School in operations, principal and president roles. Kent and his wife, Christie, have four children.
Greg Hardig Jr. ’96
Board Member
Greg Hardig Jr. ’96 is a La Salle graduate and co-founder of Hardig Industrial Services, a nationally recognized specialty contractor. His professional experience includes project management, coatings and business leadership. La Salle has shaped multiple generations of Greg’s family, including his father, father-in-law and several of his sons. Greg and his wife, Lisa, have seven children and are active in the St. Ignatius Parish community.
Jeff Ritter ’82
Board Member
Jeff Ritter ’82 is a lifelong Cincinnatian and La Salle graduate with extensive experience in corporate finance. His professional background includes nearly 25 years with Concentrix Corp., formerly Convergys, and current work with Total Quality Logistics. Jeff has also served the broader community as a Colerain Township Trustee. He and his wife, Marie, are the parents of Olivia, Carly and Nick, a member of the La Salle Class of 2022.
Steve Ruhe ’77
Board Member
Steve Ruhe ’77 is a La Salle graduate and longtime west side resident. A retired commercial insurance professional, Steve has remained deeply committed to La Salle through advancement, alumni engagement and school events. Steve and his wife, Connie, are members of the St. Ignatius community. Their son, Mark, is a La Salle graduate from the Class of 2008. Steve is also active in parish service, including St. Vincent de Paul outreach.
Greg Steinmetz ’85
Board Member
Greg Steinmetz ’85 is a La Salle graduate and aeronautical engineer with GE Aerospace, where he serves as Chief Consulting Engineer for Commercial Advanced Programs. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati. Greg has remained active at La Salle through the Lasallian Scholars Institute engineering curriculum, Learn to Lead conferences and career programs. He received the La Salle Leadership Pillar Award in 2023. Greg and his wife, Lisa, have three grown children and two grandchildren.

The Board of Limited Jurisdiction helps carry forward La Salle’s mission by supporting the school’s leadership, stewarding its resources and strengthening its future. Through their service, board members help ensure that La Salle continues to form young men of faith, scholarship, service, community and leadership.
