La Salle High School Sports Ministry -MISSION STATEMENT

The La Salle High School Campus Ministry, Mission and Formation office in cooperation with the La Salle High School Athletic Department, will enrich the lives of student-athletes through sport, instilling a sense of real faith, authentic character, and dependable leadership into our student athletes.

Sports Ministry Program Description STATEMENT

Sports ministry is student athlete focused. By way of the leadership of the Campus Ministry, Mission and Formation office staff, the LSHS Sports Ministry program seeks to help equip our student athletes by way of faith engagement, character development and leadership opportunities. In cooperation with the LS Athletic Office, the Sports Minister works directly with the respective La Salle High School coaches and teams to help set yearly goals, design faith-based opportunities to help to develop athletes of solid character who lead.

In short, the LS Sports Ministry program works directly with our LS coaches within each sport to help design an in-season program based upon the following.

Building Relationships: All coaches will get to know and understand our student athletes.

Developing Values for a Lifetime: All coaches will help connect our young men to Jesus Christ.

Providing a Daily Witness: Prayer and community as a real transformative focus.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset: Weekly Goal cards for all Student Athletes.
